Contest: Who Can Aspire to the Position of Director of Public Television?

The Supervisory Board of the national public broadcasting company Teleradio-Moldova announced a contest for the position of director of Teleradio-Moldova’s television station. The persons wishing to enter the competition were to submit participation files within 15 working days, beginning on July 14, when the advert was published in the Official Gazette.

According to the announcement, the file had to contain the application for contest, addressed to the Supervisory Board; copy of the identity card; criminal record; candidate’s CV; copy of higher education diploma; copy of the employment record book.

In order to be compatible with the advertized position, candidates must not be members of a governing body or an employee, partner, shareholder or owner of a private television; member of a party or a political organization; member of Government; member of Parliament; member of the Broadcasting Coordinating Council; member of the Supervisory Board of the public company Teleradio-Moldova; and must not hold other paid positions outside Teleradio-Moldova.

At the same time, participants in the contest must submit a project of intention regarding the management and development of public television for years 2017-2022 (maximum five pages, Times New Roman, font 14, interval 1.5). Other requirements: managerial experience; higher education; citizenship of the Republic of Moldova; knowledge of the official language of the Republic of Moldova; 7 years of experience in the media, including 3 years of experience in television.
