Vocea Basarabiei will be broadcasting not only on radio frequencies, but also on television frequencies. “At 6 a.m. on 7 January, a new television will be launched – Vocea Basarabiei TV,” the portal’s website informs.

Vocea Basarabiei television will be broadcast on the IPTV Moldtelecom network, StarNet network and other cable and digital terrestrial networks of the Radiocomunicatii State Enterprise.

Earlier, the launch of this television was announced by a former MP of the Liberal Reformatory Party, Valeriu Saharneanu. He was offended by the fact that his opinion as a founder of the Vocea Basarabiei radio and holder of 10% of Emico SRL, the company that owns this broadcaster, was not asked for when the other shareholders decided to transfer assets to a new company. The transfer of assets and the concession of the company were approved by a decision of the Broadcasting Coordinating Council (BCC) in February 2014.

According to Valeriu Saharneanu, the transaction took place through the executive director of the Vocea Basarabiei radio, Veaceslav Tibuleac, financially supported by Vlad Filat, head of the Liberal Democratic Party (PLDM).

Veaceslav Tibuleac, in his turn, said that Valeriu Saharneanu’s statements about the new editorial policy are false and that they are aimed at denigrating the PLDM. Both parties’ statements were made during the electoral campaign for the parliamentary elections of 30 November 2014.

According to the general report on monitoring mass media in the electoral campaign, produced by the Coalition for Free and Fair Elections, Vocea Basarabiei radio favored the PLDM by a large amount of its direct participation.
